POSITION:Firefighter/EMT and Firefighter Paramedic

The City of Orange City is looking for dedicated and driven candidates to join our Fire Department as Firefighter/EMTs and Firefighter/Paramedics. The City of Orange City is seeking candidates dedicated to serving our community and ensuring continued excellence in public safety for years to come. Candidates in this role can expect to spend their time at work functioning on a team providing fire suppression to protect lives and property, providing basic life support and functioning as or assisting paramedics with advanced life support, as well as a variety of other job functions. HIRING RANGE: Starting at $34,692 annually
Candidates licensed as Paramedics may be eligible for an additional Paramedic Incentive of $6,000 per year

POSITION SCHEDULE: Shift schedule; 24 hours on, 48 hours off; 7AM – 7AM
Rescue Schedule: Monday – Friday 7AM – 7PM
Candidates can expect to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, responding to emergencies at all times of the day

QUALIFICATIONS: Possession of Florida State Minimum Standards Certification as authorized by F.S.S. 633
Certified as a Florida Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic
Ability to operate pumps and fire engines
