POSITION: MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST
The City of Orange City is looking for a new team member on our Public Works staff to help maintain City infrastructure, roadways, and property, to provide a welcoming environment for all citizens and visitors. Candidates in this role can expect to spend their time at work functioning on a team outdoors working on street and sidewalk maintenance, irrigation, painting, and facility maintenance. Job functions also require the candidate to perform a variety of tasks related to maintain right-of-ways by mowing, landscaping, and maintaining street signs around City facilities. Beyond a rewarding working environment maintaining the City’s many historic buildings and roadways, the City of Orange City offers competitive salaries based on candidate experience, four weeks paid time off each year, and membership in the Florida Retirement System (FRS). The position covers a wide variety of functionality, including:
- Street maintenance and repair, including Maintenance of Traffic control and landscaping
- Restorative and original construction work on facilities
- Mechanic maintenance of City equipment
- Beautification of City Buildings and Roadways
