Water Quality Improvements and Fire Protection

The City’s Water Quality and Fire Protection project is near completion.  See the map for an in-depth look at what has been accomplished and what areas have planned improvements.  Areas OC9, OC10, and OC12 (see map for areas) are under design and permitting.  To-date, Orange City has installed 54,438 linear feet of new pipes, 58 new hydrants, and 117 new water valves.  These improvements assist with water system pipe isolation during main breaks and flushing.  Since beginning these improvements, customer complaints about water discoloration have decreased 70% (five year database).
